The Epic 1000 Skyview by Aerobask is now available on x-plane.org
The Epic E1000 has an all-composite, carbon fibre airframe, powered by a 1200 SHP Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6-67A turboprop making it the fastest type in its class, with a speed of more than 325kts.
The package features a high-resolution 3D model, ultra-high resolution 4K textures, ambient occlusion, specular and normal mapping as well as night lightning. Special effects include a panoramic reflective windshield with rain and icing effects.
It includes a fully functional and animated virtual 3D cockpit, which has been integrating their new Dynon Skyview advanced avionics. The avionics suite features three pop-up EFIS displays with custom logic, which replicates the real Skyview, custom MAPs and an FMS with flight plan management.
The avionics suit consist of an EIS MVP50 engine monitor, two Garmin GNC255 navcomms, a STEC5000 Autopilot, ADL110B weather radar and a TCAS with audio alerts.
The aircraft was developed in cooperation with EPIC 1000 operator, SOMMA Aviation and the flight model has been developed to closely match the specifications of the aircraft.
Other features include a ground power unit, menus, for fuel & weight management, custom 3D sounds for the engine and aircraft systems along with audio alerts and callouts.
