DHL enters 767ERF

DHL Express has begun using the Boeing 767ERF between Germany and the USA.

September 23: Delivery company DHL Express has begun using the Boeing 767ERF between Germany and the USA. Six aircraft will eventually join the DHL fleet by the end of 2012 replacing the MD-11F currently used.

“By introducing the Boeing 767ERF into the DHL air fleet, we are following our smart technology approach, which aims at achieving high efficiency gains through the use of the most modern technology available,” said Charlie Dobbie, Executive Vice President, Express Network Operations and Aviation.

With its advanced engine technology and the winglets, the 767ERF is one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft of its class, a reason that DHL chose the aircraft as it helps the company fulfil its global ‘GoGreen’ strategy, which attempts to improve its carbon efficiency by 30% by the year 2020.
