Turkmenistan Airlines orders 737s

Turkmenistan Airlines has ordered three 737-700 Next Generation aircraft.

September 2: Turkmenistan’s national flag carrier Turkmenistan Airlines has ordered three 737-700 Next Generation aircraft in a $192 million deal with Boeing.

Formed in 1991, the airline currently operates two 737NGs and three older 737-300s, together with seven 717s, four 757s, a single 767 and three Il-76s. Turkmenistan was the first of the former Soviet republics to purchase aircraft from Boeing for its national carrier.
