BA in cash crisis?

June 16: The Daily Mail reports that British Airways chief Willie Walsh has written to all 40,000 British Airways employees asking them to ‘work for nothing’ for up to four weeks in a ‘fight for survival’.

When BA’s annual results were announced, Walsh declared he would work for free in July, forgoing a reputed £61,000 in salary. The report also says BA will be seeking up to 4,000 redundancies with half coming from cabin crew.
