Block Island State Airport, by Orbx is now available for FSX and Prepar3D.
This is the second airport on the eastern coast of the US developed by Orbx and the tenth release from developer Alex Goff.
The island is a popular destination for general aviation and air taxi traffic during the summer holiday season. It is just 13 miles offshore from mainland Rhode Island and can be reached by a New England Airlines BN-2 Twin Islander in just 12 minutes. It is also close to other coastal airports such as Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard.
The package from Orbx features photoreal coverage of the entire island at a 35cm resolution along with lighthouses, harbours, beaches, and windfarms while the airport is modelled in detail and comes with advanced ground polygons and static aircraft. A “lite” rendition of KWST Westerly State Airport is also included.
