The first Airbus A350 XWB for Thai Airways International has been rolled out of the cabin finishing and engine installation facility. The aircraft, wearing test registration F-WZGQ (c/n 044), will now undergo ground testing before making its maiden flight. The jet is scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of this year and will be re-registered HS-THB in the Thai national carrier’s fleet.
Airbus says the A350 XWB is ideally suited to the needs of Asia/Pacific carriers, revealing that of the total orders to date (802), airlines in the region have ordered a third (267 aircraft).
