Air France has begun Airbus A380 commercial operations.
November 23: Air France began Airbus A380 commercial operations as Flight AF006 left Paris’s Charles de Gaulle Airport at 13:30 local time bound for New York’s John F Kennedy Airport in the USA.
From February 2010 Air France will operate the A380 on Paris-Johannesburg route and to the African continent. Air France has ordered twelve A380s, with three to be delivered in early 2010.
