ILFC may drop A380

June 8: Agence France-Presse reports that the US aircraft leasing company International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) may cancel its order for ten Airbus A380s due to a downturn in interest from lessees in the current economic climate.

ILFC had already deferred delivery from the original 2007 date back to 2013, but cancellation would be a major blow to Airbus – ILFC’s order is estimated to be worth nearly €3 billion.
