New Mossie Incoming!

Military News: DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI in development

Aeroplane Heaven has announced that it has a new DH.98 Mosquito FB VI in development, which will be published by Just Flight.

The de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito, affectionately referred to as the ‘Mossie’ and the ‘Wooden wonder’ (due to its wooden construction method), was probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing aircraft to emerge from World War II. This extremely fast aircraft, for its time, eventually proved to be a success in a variety of roles, which included: bomber, fighter, photo-reconnaissance, night-fighter, anti-shipping and submarine work, and transport. In short, it would be fair to say that the Mosquito was the world’s first true multi-role combat aircraft.

According to Just Flight’s website, this particular model has been built using the most accurate plans available, including original factory plans and drawings. As result, it will exhibit a high level of fidelity and detailing. Apparently, it will also include features such as intricate and separately modelled panels.

In terms of compatibility, the following platforms will be supported: Flight Simulator X, FSX: Steam Edition, Prepar3D v3 and Prepar3D v2.

Judging from the accompanying screenshots, this one should be worth the wait!
