Cargojet Heads to Europe

Canadian freight specialist Cargojet Airways will begin flights to Europe after expanding its commercial agreement with Air Canada Cargo.

The company will fly to Frankfurt, Germany from November 19 using a Boeing 767-300F, providing connectivity with flights already operating from Canada to Mexico City, and the recently inaugurated second weekly link to Bogota, Colombia and Lima, Peru.

“The growth of our freighter service allows us to increase our global reach and leverage our substantial, growing international network” said Lise-Marie Turpin, Vice President, Air Canada Cargo. “It also allows us to offer specialty main deck service to our customers with year-round capacity on key lanes.”

Ajay K Virmani, President and CEO of Cargojet, welcomed the latest developments. “We are very pleased with the expansion of our services, as we grow our relationship with Air Canada Cargo.  It allows us to continue to optimise our overall freighter aircraft utilization and to expand our range of air cargo services.”
